Completed application VS submitted application (transfer)

<p>Hello!</p>

<p>I am a current college freshman who applied to UMCP as a transfer student from an OOS university, although I am a resident of Maryland. </p>

<p>In short, I submitted my online application before the March 1st priority deadline but because of a combination of midterms/not knowing I was going to apply/regular school work, my transcript from my current university did not reach UMCP Admissions until March 7th (so my written application was in by the priority deadline, but my total application was not listed as "complete" until March 7th). I contacted to admissions office to ask about this but they did not answer my question.</p>

<p>So, I guess I'm wondering whether I would be considered as a priority applicant? The next deadline is May, and I would have to wait until mid-June for a decision (which would be terrible). Does anyone know?</p>

<p>I’d suggest that you call and ask. You’re probably OK (and considered for the March 1 deadline), but only the transfer admissions people can say for sure.</p>

<p>Same situation I am in. Applied and paid before March 1st and my application says it was completed on 3/8/12 (today). I hope this is normal and I am just overreacting.</p>

<p>I just called UMD Admissions. The person I spoke with said this is normal as the completion date gets updated as items come in. As long as you applied before March 1st, you are considered for priority. He said he expects decisions to be available by late April. </p>
