Hey guys, I applied as a transfer student to UMD last week, submitting my application before the March 1st deadline. When I went for a tour, I was told that all supplemental information needed to also be received before March 1st, otherwise it wouldn't be considered a priority application. However, I talked to two admissions representatives that stressed heavily (more than once) to get my supplemental information in as soon as I can. One even said that it might be considered a priority application still if it got to them by Monday or Tuesday. Does anyone have experience with this? To me, it seemed as if they were telling me I'd still be considered as priority if I got it in soon, but it would be unprofessional to straight out say "don't worry about our deadline, as long as your application was in before the date." Does anyone have experience with this? I just found it strange how heavily they were stressing that my supplemental information get sent in the next couple of days, even though the regular decision deadline isn't until June 1st. Thanks for any insight you can provide, I'm probably getting a bit too hopeful, but I want to hear what others have to say.

Did you send your transcripts?

I got everything in by the end of February. As long as you got everything in by March 1, I don’t see what the issue is really. They say if you are trying to live on campus to get everything in ASAP because housing is first come first serve.
