I was wondering which schools had the best music programs for composing instrumentals and modern operas and whatnot. I am really interested in the musical arts and I have been composing scores of music since as far as I can remember. Any help would be extremely and openly appreciated.

Are you interested in a conservatory or school of music, college or university? BM or BA or double degree? Or interested in all options? Just to help get things started.

If you do a search on this Music Major Forum only with the word ‘composition’ and choose ‘thread titles only’ - you will get dozens and dozens of threads to read through. And that’s just a start. Once you’ve looked through some of those and have more specific questions, we’ll be delighted to try to help.
