I’m a student in California whose schooling was interrupted a bit by the pandemic; I’ve done about two years of school. Most of the programs I’m interested in are four-year programs however (a lot of them are BFAs) so I’m prepared to do another four as I’m switching from a previous english major w/ music minor to a music major.
I’m looking to transfer now to a program for performer/composers; I’ve looked a lot at schools like Cal Arts, Berklee, USC, etc but many only accept applications for the fall term. Does anyone know of any composition programs (perhaps with a focus on performance) that take applicants for the spring?

Composition programs may include performance, but not all do.
Have you read the Double Degree Dilemma essay in the Read Me thread closer to the top of this music forum?
Honestly, as a composer, you do not have to do a BFA or BM. You can even major in English and progress as a composer. And take electives in music, do lessons and try to have performances. Summer programs can really be helpful.
To do grad school in composition, you would just need 3-4 pieces, preferably performed live (though programs like film scoring will also want a portfolio that has work related to that field.)
I am not clear on where you are now and what your status is, but is it possible to continue there?
If your drive for a BM or BFA and that kind of total immersion in music, then sure, apply for those degrees. Have you taken classes in music that can transfer? Is there a financial obstacle to your plans?
Some state universities may have spring admission. Check out SUNY’s and UC’s for instance. I am not really sure about the other schools you mentioned.
