Compromising No-Shave November and College Interviews

How do interviewers look upon personal appearance?

Hahaha, I was just thinking this…I have an interview on Monday and I think I’m going to be shaving, lol. I don’t think they care that much…not like they’re gonna reject you if you’re extremely ugly or something…maybe, haha.

If you got this huge beard going on, I would at least trim it. Look presentable, not like a hobo.

I think there’s a good chance your interviewer would find it funny. Keep the beard.

I have the same problem! Interviews on Tuesday and next Saturday, I was thinking about shaving on Monday night but part of me really wants to keep it and go the whole month. IDK, would the interviewer really care? It shows I’m committed to a cause, doesn’t it? lol

LOL I thought of this too. I just decided to shave, as I’ve usually kept the “clean-cut” profile. Everybody at my school is shaving before college interviews though, well those that can actually grow a noticeable amount of facial hair haha

Tell them its no-shave november. But honestly, no shave = no bits.

Come on, why is this even a question? No shave November is an essential part of being a man (or a woman depending on who hehe) so do not shave. It would be the worst thing you can do. In fact, the interviewer should be all about and be participating himself. If not, I wouldn’t even consider the school.

I decided to shave before my interview just in case. Turns out it didn’t really make a difference since the guy didn’t like me anyway :)

Well it depends…where are you on a scale of 1 to zach galifianakis???

Interviews don’t have much of an impact on admissions, so it shouldn’t matter too much whether he didn’t like you. I wouldn’t have shaved, though

Scruff is sexy, I say keep it up. As long as you’re well-spoken, you’re good to go =)
