Computer Engineering: Ohio State U, Purdue, U of T Austin

Hi, I'm from Malaysia. what are my chances in the above schools? And could anybody recommend some safeties/matches?

80.5%/3.2 GPA for Grade 12 (Ontario Secondary School Diploma)
6As 6Bs for my main Grade 11 exams (equivalent to O-levels, counsellor says overall I'm considered a B+ student)
SAT1: 680 Verbal 700 Math 680 Writing 680

Sub-editor-in-chief for school yearbook senior year
Very active in graphic design stuff, designed alotta things for my high school and joined a few contests, won best school newspaper
Represented school in a few sports
Played guitar for various school events

THANK YOU!

U of Texas @ austin is not super hard to get in.
I say that you'd have a good chance at it.
It's the engineering honors program in UT Austin that is hard to get in. But if you only apply for regular Comp Eng. I bet your chance is good!

Other colleges I have no idea.

Rejected from UT: Texas has a top 10% rule in their state. There is a lot of problems with the current Texas school system in terms of admissions.

an 80.5/100 gpa cannot be translated into a 3.2 gpa....the scales dont work that way...they only look at the transcript, no converting, they get the idea

Thanks!! Anybody else, please?

You have a good chance in Purdue and UT Austin as an International with these SAT scores. ARe you talking of 2007 Fall? Because if it is for 2006 Fall, Purdue admissions started as early as last year Sept.

I visited UT Texas and Ive alredy been accepted. Here is the lowdown on how the acceptance works there:
90% of those accepted are from Texas (this includes the 10% rule)
5% OOS
5% International
I got into the OOS block and i think your scores place you decent for international. You should look at the profile for last years international admissions and also write some killer essays. Id say you have a decent chance if your a B+ student. if you post your grades and what you got in them, we could give you a better opinion.

-Yeah, I plan to apply to these schools for fall 2006, I'm worried too cause its so late.........

-Could already be too late for Austin, I tried applying online and the wizard sorta indicated that the school wasn't taking any admissions anymore, not sure though.......any help here?

-Here's my grades 10-12 breakdown:

-other than the schools I mentioned, can you guys name a few other safeties/matches/reaches? I've been thinking bout UWM and penn state, but I've read on another thread that Penn State fills up very early.......
