Computer Engineering Schools?

I'd like to go to a school that has a good computer engineering program. I'm applying to schools that are "reach" schools that will be extremely hard for me to get in to, such as the Ivies. I also have some "security" schools that I know I can get into with no problem. What I'm looking for is a school that will be a challenge to get in to, but not as difficult as a school like MIT; something between the two extremes.

Like I said, a good computer engineering program is important. I'd like to go to school somewhere out east as well, and a school with fewer than 10,000 students would be ideal. Preferably no religious affiliation. I'm thinking that between 40% and 50% of applicants accepted would be ideal, but I honestly don't know if that's too much or too little. Can anyone help me out?

Use the College Navigator from IPEDS to tweak all these factors: [College Navigator - National Center for Education Statistics](College Navigator - National Center for Education Statistics)

Are you thinking hardware or software?

Thanks for that link! I found it really helpful, and it gave me some direction as to what I need to do next.

I plan to get into both the hardware and software aspects of computers at first, then hopefully move on to more complex things like robotics, artificial intelligence, quantum computing, theoretical stuff… things like that in grad school.

Take a look at Georgia Tech and Rochester Institute of Technology. University of Waterloo in Toronto has a stellar program including co-op. All these may be a little larger than you want. Also check out Carnegie Mellon (may be too selective). Bucknell and Cooper Union offer this but I don’t know anything about them. good luck!
