Computer Engineering V. Biomedical Engineering

I'm really undecided. I mean I had an epiphany for Biomed because I think it would be wonderful to create/built medical equipment for those that need it and working even in Nanotechnology sounds relatively interesting and you know, with CompE, it's all coding and that's kind of dull. Should I change to Biomed? If so, how much harder/easier is it than CompE? What sorts of jobs can I get with CompE and BiomedEng? Thanks.

Well as a CompE you can still work on medical equipment and should you wish get a masters in biomedical.

BME is still an emerging field with very little job opportunity compared to Computer Engineering.

Here at my school, they believe that BME is too broad of a field to cover properly in 4 years. Therefore, they don't offer it as an undergraduate major. They do offer it as a graduate major.

I agree with this decision in that BME is a combination of biology, EE, MechE, and MatSci. Each one of those are complete and very broad majors in themselves.
