Computer Engineering BS, Biomedical Engineering MS?

I've been searching through this site, looking at the many forums on biomedical engineering and I have come to two conclusions: BS in BME will possibly leave me with limited job opportunities and a BS in another engineering field before a MS in BME is the way to go. I've fallen in love with BME because it combines my favorite subjects: engineering, medicine, and biology. I know most take BME before going off to medical school, but I have no interest in becoming a doctor. But, my interest in BME has turned into an obsession, and now I can no longer imagine doing any other kind of engineering without some kind of biology/chemistry in it. The only engineering discipline I can see myself in is computer engineering so I can have a job between BS and MS.

So, would a BS in Computer Engineering, with BME or life sciences electives, prepare me for a MS in BME in the future?
Is there a more suitable engineering BS that will prepare me for BME?
What fields of BME will certain engineering BS prepare me for?
And is there any chance a BS in BME will lead me to success?
Thank you in advance.

…bump…

why not chemE? that might give you a base if you want to go to more molecular bme
or mechE, that might work if you’re more into the prosthetic side of things

i’m sure compE would apply to some parts of bme, but i’m not too sure that it would give you the right background for a full fledged bme masters.

it depends on where you want to go I think, and what sort of things you want to work on. either way, you should probably take some bio classes or even a minor. i’m personally debating about doing chemE with a minor in bioengineering at berkeley (if i get in lol i wish)

do take whatever i say with a grain of salt lol, I’m just a hs senior myself and i’ve been asking about major choice too.
