Ok, so there's this computer game that's really really stupid called age of empires 3..and whenever I kinda get bored I play it. However, I want to stop and focus on other stuff..so what can I do? Suggestions? How should I stop? I can't just stop, it's too hard. Some ideas:
-Snap the CD in half.
-Throw away the game in the trashcan.
-Sell/give away to a friend.
-Stash in the back of my closet never to be opened again.
-Throw it in the toilet.
So..what should I do? lol thanks!

Sell it. Might as well make some money off it =]

^That is a good idea, but actually it would be hard for me..I don't know anyone who would buy it, as my friends don't really play video games..and selling online would be hard, as I don't have a credit card (would have to explain to parents, make them do it, start ebay/amazon whatev account, do all that registration, sign up, etc. too hard)..

I got over my video game addiction last September :3

You can sell it locally over craigslist

just uninstall the game and hide the CD in a dark corner.

Uninstall the game, and have a friend/sibling get rid of the CD for you...

Overcome your vulnerability using the sheer force of your will!

Just... don't play it? Lol.

Find a free executable blocker and add aoe3.exe to its blocking list.

just spam cuirassiers over and over again.

Inveniam you clearly do not understand the power of video games to capture your mind..

Start playing TF2 instead.

Addicted to AoE3? LOL, dude, it's a decent game, but a game of that caliber isn't really that addictive or difficult to get over with...I finished that a couple years ago.

Snap it in half and move onto better games.

AoE3 is actually extremely easy to spend a lot of time on.
Do what I do when I get addicted to a game and uninstall, then store the discs in your attic.

Lol... I got bored of that game quick.

AOE II was the bomb and AOE was a classic.

AOE III had stellar graphics but seemed too similar to games such as Rise of Legends. Just moderate yourself. Games are a good way to relieve stress.

i was really addicted to halo 3 at one point... what i did was just put it back in its case and put it away. Haven't touched it since :)

It's just addictive because I like playing long games, up to 5 hours long nonstop playing one game. (free for all's) its my only way of relieving stress.

Gryffon: AoE 3 was NOT similar to Rise of Legends. The latter got boring so quick I totally regretted buy it. AoE 3 was so much more fun.

I agree Ao3 wasn't that good. It had a lot of the strategy gone and you could always predict how to play.
Anyways I also have a similar problem with this new game I bought Resistance 2. I just tell myself if I do all my homework and assignments I reward myself with some playing time.
