Computer Sci or Engineering Sci w/ Comp Sci minor?

Hi there,
I am a rising senior at college. Have been a CS major for a year; I switched to CS pretty late. So I still have a lot of heavy core classes remaining to take.

However, I do not feel like I want to be a programmer. I am rather interested in the business and startup side of it. Also, I am mostly busy with my own startup projects, and don’t feel like I would be able to put much efforts into CS because I am really enjoying and succeeding in business.

I don’t want to be a mediocre student since I won’t be able to put the effort it demands, and don’t feel any excitement in proceeding forth with the heavy core classes in CS I am required to take.

I am thinking about switching to Engineering Science (with a CS minor - only 2 more classes for CS minor).

I know I am going to do really well in business, however, just keeping an option in case things really fall apart - how are the job prospects of a EngSci major with CS minor? Would I be able to get a decent job in the CS industry with a CS minor?
(Asking because I have known a couple people who got similar jobs as a CS major by just having a minor in CS.)

Any advice/suggestion is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

If you do not like doing computing, would you actually like doing a computing job?

Consider what kinds of jobs you would like to do, and whether they are in demand and accessible as a new graduate. Some of them may not be primarily computing, but could be where computing knowledge is useful.

What were you majoring in before CS?
Why not major in business with CS minor?

Talk to a CS professor, your adviser, the career center and maybe an Entrepreneurial Business professor to get some insight.

ALso maybe look on Linked in or the like for people who are doing the job you want and see what they majored in.

Also at this point you may want to figure out what you can graduate more quickly with.
