computer science & art

I'm trying to take DESMA (DESIGN | MEDIA ARTS) classes along with computer science.

However, BOELTER 6426 doesn't seem to like artsy classes so much. So, I'm thinking: should I make my own major? Or should I talk to the Dean of CS? Does he have the power to allow me to take art classes at DESMA?

Thanks!

I’m not sure you can make your own major, and I doubt the CS Dept. Chair will be able to help you much.

You can always take the classes for fun (ask the professor if there’s enrollment restrictions), but don’t expect them to count for anything.

Yes, you can create your on major given some constraints and conditions.

The problem in this case is that the major contains Computer Science courses, and CS is within HSSEAS, not the College of Letters and Science. That might be a roadblock, but it’s probably worth looking into.

Thank you guys!
I’m gonna go to Boelter 6426 to get this all sorted out.
