Hi guys, I have been accepted into SUNY SB about a month ago and it's very likely that I'll go there for the next four years.
I want to go to med school, so I'll take the premed classes at SB while majoring in computer science.
My question is, are a lot of computer science classes lecture-based (meaning 50 or more students per class)? I understand that a lot of intro level classes like physics are taught in a lecture hall. And I don't really have a problem with that since most of the intro level classes are pretty straightforward. However, if a computer science class is taught with more than 200 students in the classroom, that could be a problem since a lot of CS concepts can be hard to grasp. With no chance of interaction with your professor, I may have a hard time understanding some of the abstract concepts.
Since SB is a state school, I'm not sure if CS classes will be taught in a lecture hall. I'll really appreciate it if anyone could share their knowledge!

A lot of classes are lecture based here, but they also have recitations or labs associated with them where there are less students involved. I just looked up our intro to Comp Sci class and it has a lab that you take with it, so there are fewer students. The intro class itself has about 250 students, but the lab I checked had 24 students. You can also go to office hours for one on one help with the Professor.
