I'm in my junior year as a computer science major in Texas A&M. However i'm concerned because as of right now, I have no work experience, and no leadership positions. My resume is kind of empty and a 3.48 gpa isn't going to compensate for that. I am planning to go to graduate school. However if feel the lack of work experience is going to bite me in the butt later. Should i try to get a job, any job the summer before i go to grad school? I can try for an internship but i feel that i probably will not get any because i lack extracurriculars and my gpa isn't particularly high.

It’s difficult to get anything without internships, extracurriculars, and involvement in general. Employers look highly on experience when hiring.

I would get started right now. Join some clubs, join some organizations. Try your hardest for that internship. Try to get an early start and get your foot into that door.

CS majors are in high demand. With some sort of repertoire, you should be able to get a good job.

how hard is comp sci??? i have no experience/previous knowledge whatsoever and is planning to major in it

^^^

You will either love it or hate it. Take intro courses before you decide on majoring in Computer Science. Who knows, you might absolutely despise it and want to change majors or you might love it and want to continue down that path.

It’s not a matter of whether it’s hard or not, it’s whether you like the subject or not. If you don’t like it, of course it’s going to be hard.
