Hi, I am a junior right now in high school, and I'm considering majoring in computer science, but I haven't taken AP compsci nor regular yet. I'm planning to take the AP class in my senior year. Will it help me in any way when I check the computer science major slot when applying for a college?

Or should I consider some other major that I have already taken classes related to it?

Please help me :[ Thanks a lot!!

Dude, major in something you care about. If you want to do comp sci, do comp sci. Go to Udacity this summer and teach yourself to code python. Or go to Codacdemy and teach yourself to code javascript.

That will tell the college that even though you didn’t think about programming last you, you have the idea and passion to pursue it for the sake of learning it.

Then code something. Make something. That looks hotter than some APs in subjects you don’t care about.
