I applied to USC for Computer Science (Games) but I'm having second thoughts about the emphasis. Does anyone with experience on the subject have any information about whether I can garner a higher salary and more job opportunities with or without the games program?

My son was in this major . He graduated last May. Zenga(sp) is one if the highest paid game companies. Offering 100 K to new graduates. As far as opportunities , they are plentiful as students coming from this major at USC are highly respected.

Please see Princeton Review’s ranking of this major. SC, with their state of the art game pipe lab, is THE place to enter the field of game design. The students in Viterbi, in collaboration with the interactive entertainment majors in SCA, have become well known in this field.

On “Demo Day” it has become necessary to move the demonstrations from the games majors to a much larger venue. The hall selected could no longer hold all the representatives from the game companies.

Check out the information about the major and what some of the alumni are doing by clicking on the website for Viterbi: [USC - Viterbi School of Engineering - Home](http://www.viterbi.usc.edu) .
