Does Columbia offer packages like Microsoft Office at a discount (For PCs and Macs)? I heard other colleges often offer Office and install it for you for like $20 or something.

there’s a list of stuff you can download free as a columbia student somewhere at the CUIT website (click the CUIT link on the left side of Columbia’s homepage), although I don’t think there’s anything as “big” as Microsoft Office. I know there’s also deals with MAC and Dell, but I don’t think any of them are that extraordinary and personally I just bought one without Columbia’s help, was easier/cheaper that way.

oh wow, I just checked CUIT, and you can download MS Office 2007 for free. That is a pretty sweet bonus. Didn’t see much else you can download though.

you can not download microsoft office for free!

if you go here: [Microsoft Campus License Agreement](http://www.columbia.edu/acis/software/msagreement/index.html) you will see that the eligibility for the download excludes undergrads:

you’ll also notice that these grad students can also download windows xp and vista

you can however download the latest version of norton antivirus for free

seriously? lame. I’m gonna try anyways when I get my UNI hahahaha.
thanks for catching that though.

haha, but legally, you hafta pay the 150 dollars or whatever to buy microsoft office? columbia doesn’t have a special offer?
