<p>I am a chemical engineering sophomore, and in the fall I will begin research using a program called COMSOL (computer modeling using FEM)...wondering if anyone has come across this program in their careers. I'm curious as to how useful proficiency in COMSOL may be in actual industry or different applications people have used it for in their jobs.</p>
<p>if I had to make an educated guess, I would say it is probably the third most popular multiphysics package in industry after ANSYS and Abaqus. That is purely based on my own limited experience though, so the truth may be slightly different.</p>
