Laptop Specifications for Chemical Engineering

So I'm starting college this fall with a prospective major in Chemical Engineering. I'm thinking about laptops now and was wondering what sort of specifications mine should have. I'm thinking about getting a ThinkPad T420 or L420(once it comes out) with Core i7. Specifically:

Integrated or discrete graphics - I'm pretty sure discrete would be better if I used AutoCAD a lot, but from my understanding it's more for Civil engineering and honestly, I don't find myself going into that field. Would I use AutoCAD much for Chemical engineering, apart from the introductory, 1st year engineering classes? Also not much of a PC gamer.

Total memory - I'm thinking 320GB HDD, 7200 rpm, but if I really don't need that much, I definitely would prefer to save some money.

Wireless LAN Adapters - Just curious. I'm pretty sure just the default (Thinkpad b/g/n) is fine, but I'm not sure.

Sorry if this post seems redundant, but I looked up some past ones and they didn't answer all my questions.

I’m a ChemE undergrad and I dont really use a computer all that much for school. The only programs I’ve had to use are MATLAB and Aspen which you dont really need a high end model for. Personally, the computer listed above sounds fine. It’s a little high end but you’re going to be using this thing for hopefully more than 5 years.
