Concentrating on one section

I already took the SAT test once and got 790 on math and 750 on critical reading. my writing score was not near what I wanted, but I'm content with my math and CR scores. math would be nice to get 800 since i got an 800 on math2, but there's always that one stupid mistake that i make that costs me the 800. im not concentrating on math. CR, i have NO CLUE how i pulled a 750 - all my practice tests i NEVER broke 700. i'm concentrating primarily on writing (i want to break at least 700).

i was wondering, would it look bad to colleges if i ended up getting like a 650 or something on CR while maybe getting my writing score up only like 40 or 50 points? i know many colleges do superscoring - but even if they do that, wouldn't it still look really bad to have that significant a drop in scores (in case of critical reading, or even if i somehow totally mess up math w/ just an off day or something). or, would colleges just not care about whatever your lowest scores were and take only the highest? i mean, i'm sure it would look very good if you went from like a 600 to 800 but it would look bad if you went from an 800 to 600. if they superscore, does it actually matter what order you got the scores in?

Bump. I wanna know this too. Same boat except looking to improove CR.
