SAT section focus?

In June, I want to focus on the Math and Writing the most. My CR is just fine, nearly as high as it can be, but, for this upcoming test, should I just study the sections I want to improve on, or should I focus/practice on the entire test?

I attempted the focus approach for my last SAT... my CR ( which I focused on) rose from 690 to 800, but my Math and Writing scores remained +-10pts. It helped me because the schools I plan on applying to only consider your highest score per section, so the focus approach always benefited me. I guess it depends on the schools you want to apply to.

Can someone clarify what section focus exactly is?

I assumed he meant concentrating ( practice wise and during the test) on one specific section in an attempt to raise the score of that section and doing the other sections just to maintain the previous score, not necessarily increase it.

^That's exactly what I mean.

I scored perfectly fine on my writing section on my last test but my Math and CR weren't satisfactory. Do you think it'd be wise for me to go into the test on saturday and not put too much effort into writing so I could focus more on the Math and CR sections during the test? So say I go down by a significant amount in writing would it really matter since I already have a score I like and most colleges take the highest score from each sitting?
