I have been reading a lot about Elon since my councelor told me about it a couple of weeks ago. In my research especially on college ******* it seems like it is a fun school with a lot of partying and other fun things to do. It also seems like it has a good location and academics. My one concern is that from what I have read there seems to be a lot of gay people. I am not homophobic but are there lots of gays being really affectionate around the campus? I am a straight guy and love that fact that there are more guys on campus than girls. I just want to make sure that there are not to many gay guys being overly affectionate for all to see.

Thanks

Wow…stunning on so many levels.

Ok just in case this is a serious posting, my first comment is to do your research better. More guys on campus than girls, no way. 60% girls/40% guys. Secondly Elon is not known as a party school. Thirdly, your non-homophobic statement is quite homophobic. You might be better at a religious conservative school.

In your case you need to get your information from the princeton reviews best colleges and other reputable publications. Also a visit to the campus in your case, to any campus you consider is a must.

“I am not homophobic”

The first step in healing is always admitting you have a problem…

In AA meetings, the first thing that members MUST say is “I am an alchoholic”…

Get your information straight, visit the school and figure out why you needed to post this on a public internet forum…

So wrong on soooo many levels…

My son just got home last week after his first year at Elon, so
we can respond from experience.

Other than the cost of renting Hazmat suits to pick him &
his belongings up and the subsequent cost to have him
thoroughly decontaminated, our son had no problem with
Elon’s general population.

Frightening on so many levels!

: )

^^^ lol…thanks for posting!!!

how was his first year???

OP - Have visited Elon 5 times in the past 3 years and I have to say your post leaves me quite stumped. Beyond the obvious homophobia issues which others have already mentioned - it is simply not true.

My son had a really amazing first year. I can only hope that each year will be as good.
He made some good new friends and had good experiences- travel, lectures, classes and activities that he enjoyed.
