Concerts..

I have the oppourtunity to go see a popular Christian pop group in concert next week and have already bought my ticket, but am having second thoughts. I'm not a big fan of the group, I find their music to be too "preachy" and not my style at all. I am mostly going to see my friends. The concert has sold-out, and I've found out that their are church groups coming from over 100 miles away. The people that own the venue think this is going to be the second biggest event even held there... I've never been to a non-classical concert before. I don't like being in big crouds or being around lots of noise.
Could someone tell me what a concert like this is like? Am I wrong in thinking that I will be misserable at the concert??

Thanks in advance!

I dont think you should spend your first-concert-event on this weird chrisitan pop group that you dont even like.

You have to experience a loud-moshpitty-rock concert once in your life but I personally wouldnt make that concert my 'first'. (wait.. this band is a pop band?? because if it's a POP as in Westlife POP band, it's a different story)

It's Casting Crowns.
Anyways, I gave up my ticket, but the group I bought it from is making me sell it myself. They wouldn't even let me have the actual ticket for fear I would give it to someone they didn't want to be around. I had my parents call, and they then decided that I could have the actual ticket. They hadn't cashed my check yet, but they refused to void it out and resell the ticket themselves. I'm now planing on giving it to one of my weird goth friends... ;)

Same here. I still haven't been to one yet.

concert newbies:
It really does depend on the band...my first concert was helloween back in 9th grade. Lol, so I got a head start in metal, mosh pit, music concerts. Depending on the band you can judge the people that'll go, this way you'll know if you'll fit in and enjoy it.
