conduct trouble,

please help! I got in trouble for damaging my roommate stuff and lied about it. i switched dorms and was hoping i won’t get in trouble. the conduct office found out about it and there will be an informal resolution. what can they possible do? will I get probation, or suspended, will this go on my record. I was told there will be sanctions. what is the worst case scenario?

You have to look at your school’s student handbook for their policies as to how disciplinary situations are handled, and their potential consequences. These things vary widely across schools.

Be honest, show remorse, apologize for the mistakes you have made, assure admin that it won’t happen again.

Good luck.

The worst case scenario is criminal charges. You are not a high school kid, nor are you a minor. You damaged property that belongs to somebody else, and that is a crime. You are legally an adult, and therefore you are liable for those damages, and responsible for your criminal conduct.

What worries me is that you do not sound the least bit sorry nor does it sound like you regret your actions. All you seem to care about is whether you will be required to suffer any consequences for your criminal actions.

You damaged your roommates property, you lied about it, and you ran away, and all you can ask is “what can they possible do?”

What you should be asking is “what can I do to make this better with my ex-roommate?”.
