I guess it's just a panic attack. A week ago I sent the deposit to Cornell. By regular mail, as they requested. And got nothing from them confirming that they have it (and that my acceptance is confirmed). How long did it take for everyone and what should I get?
Right before May 1 I sent "No, thank you" envelopes to all other schools. So no way back. What happens if my Cornell deopsit is somehow lost????

I don't think they send a confirmation (though I may be wrong). I called the admissions office, and they said they haven't processed it (even though I sent it a week ago, too), and that it'd take about 10 days AFTER they receive it to process it.

So I just asked my dad to check his bank account online and it turns out that they HAVE cashed it in! :)

Thanks K14:
I'll ask my dad to check the bank account in the morning.
It just feels strange to get noting at this step.
Did you go to Cornell days? I didn't and now I feel I am somewhat "out of the loop"

Nah I didn't go to Cornell days. My parents couldn't go (mom didn't want to and dad had work), so yea...

But one of my friends at school did and she really liked it. Her opinion is obviously subjective, but her positive comments about Cornell (mostly about the atmosphere) made me feel good about my decision.
