<p>Scroll down to University of Southern California, the article claims 38,000 apps this year. Unbelievable. Can't be good for those of us (like me) who have yet to hear, especially hearing that they might be looking to admit fewer total students this year.</p>
<p>I’m pretty sure that this is a direct result of the crisis with the UC system. I’ve noticed that a ton of the scholarship kids are from California, even more than in past years. My guess is that all of high scoring kids who normally would have been content to go to UC-Berkeley or UCLA are applying to USC now as well, especially since I heard that it’s getting harder and harder to complete a degree in 4 years at those two schools.</p>
