I am currently a senior in high school. It's pretty stressful because I can be so clueless on this college admission stuff.
I want to pursue a career that deals with art direction/creative direction/design.
My questions:
1. Would it be ok to major in something like graphic design or should I try mainly to focus on finding schools with commercial arts or advertising design?
2. One school I applied to is SCAD. I'm a little skeptical about attending here. I only plan on starting at SCAD. I would love to transfer to a good school but I heard SCAD is not NASAD accredited and I'm worried that other colleges would not accept my transfer credits? Anyone have any knowledge regarding that?

You might ask this in the Visual Art major sub-forum. Go to the main page where all of the forums are listed, and scroll down. You will find it inside the College Majors Forum.

Alternately, repost this in Parents. Use a title like “What is the best major and school for a career in Art Direction?” so that you catch the attention of people who know about that career field.
