After SAT test in June, I and my classmates all prepared very carefully for Oct.test. However, most of us have very little improvement of CR in Oct.test.... If only few people get little improvement, we will not confused..But most of us just raise 10 or 30 scores in CR for 4 months preparation.....What' s wrong with us? How could some students raise 100 scores in one month? Could you give us some advices in CR?

I raised my CR score from 590 in January to a 760 now.

For the CR reading section, there is a lot of different components. It’s not like math, where you just need to know how to solve problems, or like writing, where you just need to know grammar. There’s vocab, reading comp., as well as strategies for doing it fast enough.

You must have extensive knowledge of vocab. You must be able to quickly read and comprehend confusing passages. (this doesn’t just come from prepping for a couple months. You really have to actually read books (I know, right, it’s the reading section, and you actually have to read to do better… cool huh) - that was sarcasm by the way).

And finally, you must practice a LOT. I ended up doing around 16 practice tests for CR. And after doing a test, you must go over EVERY question. This allows you to see the patterns in the way the questions are worded, as well as the answers.

So start reading some books, start practicing, and maybe in a couple months, you can get the improvement you want.
