Confused about that april vacation thing

I've got two seperate questions. First, when is the apiril vacation for us and if someone knows a link to the web page that'd be helpful too. Second, What was that packet of dates we recieved a month ago. I was a little confused about that. Anyone feel like explaining? Oh, if its easier you can im me at yapeyy on AIM. Thanks guys!

By April vacation, do you mean Spring Break? --because my spring break just started about 53 minutes ago and lasts through next week.

I think you mean the Days on Campus, no?

yes, sry. ten characters

If you want, you go to NYC in April to visit the campus. You'll stay overnight, attend some speeches with the administration, sit in on a couple classes, meet your future classmates, etc.

Sounds good, but I also got a list of dates and stuff. I'm more confused about what that is. Anyone know what I am talking about? I know its a bad description. sry.

Hey yapsuper,

I'm assuming that you already got into columbia college because
you're asking about the Columbia visitation program. Hey, I
was wondering what your ECs, grades, SATs, etc were.
I REALLY want to got to Columbia in the fall and I'm waiting for
my Regular Decision right now.

Thanks

I'm not sure what you're talking about. The list of dates is probably a timeline of various events between now and September.... like when you have to turn in your housing forms, when you get your housing assignment, when your email account is created, when you meet with your summer advisor, etc.

yapsuper, are you already a Columbia student (freshman) or currently a hs senior who was just accepted for Fall 2006 admission?

I'm currently a hs senior and was accepted ED. I'm not going to bother posting my grades and SAT's, they are below average. If you HAVE to know, pm me. My EC's were Student Council (president, secreatary), Yearbook (executive board, assit. editor, editor), Math Team (capt), Jeopoardy team(capt), Greater New Haven Youth Symphony (a really selective orch in the state), ummm... then there a bunch of awards. Silver medal national latin exam, National honor society, Regional Orchestra, Faculty elected most community oriented student (something like that). Volunteering? lets see; Yale New Haven Hospital Volunteer (getting in is selective), played for nursing homes, Kumon volunteer(taught kids), orientation leader. o jeez.. the list goes on. Forgive me if I don't write it all out.
I'll just mention the conferences I've been nominated for and attended: World Affairs Seminar (4 kids from HS are allowed to go), RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Award, 2 kids are selected), NSLC (personally I thought this was useless because everyone gets an nomination and it costs money), CSLS (same as NSLC but I think a bit longer and expenseiver; I didn't go to this one.)

IT'S PI DAY!!!!
