I just got readmitted to UCF. However, I was put on verification for the 2015-16 and the 2016-2017 school year.
I know the deadline for financial aid was October 21st of this year. However, my financial aid hasn’t even disbursed.
They know I have financial aid so they won’t drop me from all of my fall classes. I was also awarded the Pell Grant.
I’m really frustrated right now because I’m under 24 and they still need my parent’s info
We were unable to use the IRS retrieval tool to order a transcript.
As of right now, I’m talking to the head of the financial aid department.
So I really need help right now…Can somebody tell me all the documents I need to complete the verification process?
Well …at this point I will have to revisit the verifier…The assistant director
is now place in charge of my verification process…
If somebody went through verification…then I was hoping if they
could help me by telling me what documents to bring to the office.
The retrieval tool is part of importing information to the FAFSA. If you can’t use the IRS tool, you have to provide a tax transcript. You (your parents) order it from the IRS (there is no retrieval too, you go on the site and order it0 and they mail it to their home. You then provide that to the school. There could be other things they want verified too, and the school should provide the list of documents you need - W2s, bank statements, a lease or mortgage to show you are a resident. Each item that needs to be verified has different requirements. Get the list from the school.
If you were selected for verification and do not complete the process, you will not receive any aid. You need to get on board with your parents and submit the documentation needed to complete the process ASAP.
