Confused, What should i do?

I'm still trying to figure out what i want to do with my life, haha.

Drama is my passion ( I'm the the lead in high school musicals) but i know how hard it is to make it as an actor so I wanted to do the business side of entertainment.

I would love someday to work for a major movie company, like Paramount, or a broadcasting company, like ABC.

Some people i talked to said theatre would look good on your resume when applying to these jobs, but would a major in radio/television/film or look better?

And does anyone know if it actually looks better when you double major, or should i just minor in theatre or radio/television/film.

I'm new to all this college stuf so i'm exploring all venues, i would appreciate anyones advice!

Thanks alot,

Kyle

If you could handle the coursework at the college, definitely consider double majoring. It'll give you more credentials.

I would consider a business major with a minor in theater or film or a major in theater or film with a minor in business. If you are wanting to go into the business side of the entertainment world you will need that background.

Thanks for the replies,

So theatre would look better then radio/ television? Like say if i I wanted to work for ABC or something like that.

I think if you wanted to work for ABC, then radio/television would be better than theatre.

Kyle, if you saw my uncle's cousin's bio--he was a history major. Generally, it doesnt matter.

^Yeah, it's all about contacts. Most of what you need for a job like that can be learned on the job. Unless you're going into management/advertising you can get away with just about anything.

Ok thanks for the info.
