Confused with Law School

Im a senior in high school, and am a little confused with the entire law school thing. I was thinking that it would be something I would want to do for a career, and am starting to research this.

My question is this. Is law school only something you do after you have completed the standard 4 year college? Im applying to a ton of schools right now (UCLA, U Texas Austin, etc.) and a lot of them have good law programs, but from what I understand I just choose another major and after I complete my 4 years I can apply to go to law school there, right?

So, if I am understanding this correctly, I should select the major that I like the most (either engineering or architecture) and complete my 4 years in this field, then when I am done with that, I have to reapply and use my college GPA along with LSAT scores to get in.

Is this correct? Thanks for any help.

Yes, that’s correct. The GPA you earn in college, your LSAT scores, and any extracurriculars you are involved in during your 4 years will all be taken into account when law schools review your application.
