I am thinking about double majoring in chemical engineering and mathematics. But I am unsure on what courses or how many of them to complete in order to fulfill the "SBC"

Everyone completes the same SBC requirements, regardless of major. Details here: http://sb.cc.stonybrook.edu/bulletin/current/policiesandregulations/degree_requirements/categoriesandlearningoutcomes.php

If you’re coming in as a freshman, we’ll go over the SBC in detail during your freshman seminar this fall. You could/should also sit down with your advisor when you get to campus at the end of the month too for clarification.

Thank you, sbuadmissions. Let’s say I transfer a class which is considered to be SBS/USA. Will this class satisfy both SBS and USA part of the Stony Brook Curriculum or is it one class per required goal.

I looked at the course descriptions of CME 440 and 441. They both said SBS: Partially fulfills: CER, ESI, EXP+, SBS+, SPK, STEM+, WRTD. Does this mean that both classes must be taken in order to fully complete all 7 parts I mentioned above.
