Hello,
I am a second degree student currently in my first semester at a state college in New Jersey as a second degree student studying chemical engineering. I would like to transfer to SB because I would receive in-state tuition and I would prefer to have a SB degree. The GPA from my first degree was pretty low, but I am currently on track to get stellar grades for this semester. Could anyone tell me if second degree students are even considered for transfer admissions at SB, and if they are, would I have a shot at getting accepted??

Thanks

We admit very, very, very few (if any) second degree students, unfortunately. Link is here for info:

Admission to our Second Bachelor’s Degree Program is extremely limited due to a lack of capacity in most of our undergraduate programs.

Priority for admission to the University is given to first-degree candidates. We will not begin notifying fall applicants to our Second Bachelor’s Degree Program of admission decisions until August, after first-degree applicants are notified and we have determined what, if any, capacity remains in our undergraduate programs.

You can apply, but I’d suggest having a backup plan.
