Confused!

I'm not going to the best school with the best available courses, but I would like to go to Harvard. I just wanted to know what I should do as an upcoming freshman to even be considered admission. (throughout high school career) Thank you in advance for your help!

Work hard, do well in GPA / rank (if your school has one), do extracurriculars that interest you / show passion in what you do, score well on the SAT I and SAT II, standard things. There’s no “one set direction” to get in.

Well, there isn’t really a “schedule” to follow for Harvard, though I am a Harvard dreamer myself XD
Of course, like jsungoh said, work hard. Cram books that will help your reading skills, practice math problems, and write a lot of essays even if you don’t like it; all of the mentioned above are for the SAT, you should start preparing yourself for it at a rather early time. Rank: you should be at least in the top 5%. GPA: unweighted should be as close to 4.0 as you can, weighted as close to 5. EC: community services, your interested choices, and others that you might want to try. These are really the basics, you should do something extraordinary (meaning makes you unique from others). Finally, the applying essay is a big shot. In my opinion, essay is the most important of all [it’s a chance for you to present yourself (ie personality, interests, and etc.) to the colleges].
So good luck with all, even if you didn’t get in, don’t worry too much, I’ve heard that Harvard’s admission was pretty unpredictable, but hopefully you get in. :)
