Confused?

<p>So the rep on Friday told us that 2/3 of students are VA students, but only 50 percent of VA applicants are admitted. I am confused. Can anyone clarify? </p>

<p>The admit rate is different from the actual composition of the class.</p>

<p>Of the total number of VA residents who applied this year, we admitted 34% of them. That 42% then weighs their options and some accept our offer. In the end, the class is about 68% Virginian this year.</p>
