As a member of the class of '09, I’d just like to congratulate everyone who got accepted during this RD round. Applying is a ***** and a ton of work, but it’s definitely worth it once you come here. Penn is a great university, and freshman year is a blast. Just don’t be one of those douchebags who buys the “Not Penn State” shirts… that’s just plain pretentious.

For those rejected, I wouldn’t worry. All of my friends who were rejected from their dream schools now love the places they are at. College is great in that pretty much where ever you go, you’ll find somewhere to fit in.

Thank you! I have a question though... did you ever feel that the undergrad. student body was too big for you to get what you need? (Resources from profs, etc.)

Not many people go to office hours for classes, so if one ever needed to talk to the professor they're usually open. All of the professors I've had have always been really open for questions after class, and many will even take people out of their office hours.

It's a big school, but all of my classes feel fairly intimate.
