These are the most important EC's and awards that should be mentioned.

I need to mention that I graduated a month ago and my gap year has officially started. I was forced to take it due to horrendous health issues that I have been facing for years. Also, my parents have had some health problems as well, so last year was so stressful for me.
I need a lot of financial aid. Annual income is below $20000.

Thanks in advance. :)

yeah… I think you’re good for Conn College. Depends on actual grades, of course. I don’t know about financial aid, but I’d say you’re a very strong candidate overall. My school sends around 4 students there every year, and many more apply and get in.

Thanks Prep15. Almost all of my grades are the highest ones, so I am not concerned about it.

Anyone else?

Admission to Connecticut College is highly selective for international students. About 20-30 internationals are admitted with funding from a pool of 700 students, and generally ConnColl defers internationals who apply ED so that they can evaluate the entire pool for the limited funding that they have. Your grades and ECs look great for ConnColl, but it’s hard to say whether you would get in because of the selectivity. If you’re interested in ConnColl, I would also recommend that you look into Sarah Lawrence and Bates, both of which are SAT-optional and are similar to ConnColl in many respects. If you improve your test scores significantly, look into Vassar as well.

@International95 Well,I can’t assume the outcome of the application process, but I want to know if I stand a chance. And are you sure about the ED thing? I heard applying ED boosts chances of getting a generous financial aid package.

Yes, some schools would rather that you apply RD so that they can compare you to the whole pool. You stand a chance, yes, but try not to fall in love with one school.

bump

buuump

Look at private message. If someone tells you that ConnColl is a match/safety, that person probably knows nothing about international student admissions. In other words, Conn is a reach.
