Bobcat Cash is totally optional and if you decide you want to put some on once you arrive on the campus, you can do that too I believe. That's what one of my friends said.

ok thanks I was wondering that too.

My daughter spent her freshman year on East Green, in Biddle Hall, and was very happy with that choice. She was in a scholastic emphasis dorm. . . The dorm wasn't terribly quiet, but it did put together kids who had more than average interest in doing well in school. East Green was a good location for her.

Sophomore year she was in an off campus dorm that used to be a hotel. That was not a great choice.

Biddle seems to be a popular place -- a lot of students like it there.

hey where can i request a certain residence hall in the online contract?

I don't think you can, I tried doing that and didn't see it anywhere.

You can't, which I thought was stupid. You can only rate your green/living preferences and then they match you with a residence hall that matches (or mostly matches) what you want. The exceptions are for honors housing, for which you put your preference for "scholastic emphasis" or whatever it says and then email some lady asking for either Johnson/Read or Hoover. It's in the packet. Oh, and substance-free too--since there are only one of those on each green, if you put "substance free" and select a green, you'll probably end up in the one you want.

At least, that's how I understand it...

My daughter chose "scholastic emphasis," and east green, and ended up in Biddle.

How is your daughter enjoying Ohio University?
