Consequences from a lack of awards.

I'm very involved in everything that I do and I have what I feel to be pretty good EC's- good test scores and GPA as well. I really don't have any awards to represent my involvement in the activities I care about and have spent time in though. I go to a very small private school and they don't give out many awards. It seems like a lot of people get volunteer awards and school based awards I've simply never heard of- not that I don't deserve necessarily. National awards are out of the question for me as well.

If I have a an empty list of awards on my apps will it reflect really badly? (I have a lot of honors just no awards).

I think you should be fine if you have strong ECs.

im in same situation...i have great ec's...class president nhs secretary...etc..............but i have like no awards

For the majority of colleges in the country, you'll be fine.

Colleges understand that besides the biggies (USAMO, Davidson Fellow, etc.), awards don't mean much and often depend on one's situation moreso than one's merit. However, a serious, prestigious award is going to help quite a bit. Just keep in mind that the majority of successful applicants anywhere have not received such awards. They are very low on the chopping block so to speak.
