Consider my scenario...

I live in Vancouver, BC and this is the weird thing about this province.
Our transcript I believe, is under provincial jurisdiction, which means that there is a provincial system. Our high school is from grade 8 to 12. And our transcript will only show grades from grade 10 to 12 (I asked my counselor).

Harvard however, asked for "4 years of English" and "4 years of math". What should I do? Does Harvard care about the fact that the stupid computer system doesn't allow my counselor to download my grade nine grades, because our "senior high" starts in grade 10 and ends in grade 12?

If you were a British Columbia and had applied Harvard, please do share your solution. For others, I would be delighted to read your comments.

You could call Harvard admissions and ask. The guy who answered the phone when I did was superfriendly. : p I'm sure they'd be helpful.

Yes, you should call them. Make sure you ask them all the requisite information, but also make sure that you have exhausted every opportunity of retrieving your grades, because more grades that corroborate your status as a diligent student=better chances
