Consider my scenario...

I live in Vancouver, BC and this is the weird thing about this province.
Our transcript I believe, is under provincial jurisdiction, which means that there is a provincial system. Our high school is from grade 8 to 12. And our transcript will only show grades from grade 10 to 12 (I asked my counselor).

Stanford however, asked for "4 years of English". What should I do? Does Stanford care about the fact that the stupid computer system doesn't allow my counselor to download my grade nine grades, because our "senior high" starts in grade 10 and ends in grade 12?

they'll probably understand if your counselor submits an explanantory note. even if not, stanford actually crops your transcript's 9th grade, as well as anything like art or athletics courses, (unless you're applying for a fine arts program) when making hte academic judgement call. its probably safe to assume that if you took english 10, 11, 12 grades, they'll figure you took it in 9th grade too, and if not, you're still at the level of 4 years of english education
