considered a minority?

would a low-income native american from maine be considered a minority, or are colleges looking for international students?
also, does anyone know if colleges consider amc/aime scores from freshman year? mine were 105.5/3 respectively.
thanks!

please help? i saw on a forum that asian-americans aren't considered a minority, so now i'm unsure.

First off, why does it matter whether you are a minority?? It shouldn't stop you from applying to the colleges of your choice. You are what race you are. By the way, Native Americans are considered minorities, but Indian Americans (from India) aren't considered minorities.

yes, native americans are URMs.

Just make sure you have proof of which tribe you belong to. I've heard of instances where applicants are asked to show paper work.

No, I'm not overly concerned about it, I was just wondering. I guess one can't ask a question here without being questioned themselves? It seems like an advantage to some colleges so I was just making sure. Thank you, though, and everyone else as well.
