I did 5 Princeton review tests over the last month and all were in the 1750 - 1850 range. Today, I did Barrons and got a 1550. The test was so profoundly hard. What is going on with me? Is the PR too easy or is Barron too hard?! Have I been fooling myself with PR all this time?! I am freaking out,

I am freaking out here. No help at all? :(

That is normal, Barrons is always much more difficult. The best SAT prep to know your level is Official College Board Online course, next is Blue Book.

But 250, isn’t that a bit extreme?

To me , Barrons is over-prepared, it might be good for people got over 700.
Do not worry about that, keep practicing. If you want to know your progress, use College Board.

I went to the bookstore and they told me that all the actual past papers don’t provide scaled scores so it would be pointless. Should I just ditch Barron (which has depressed me) and go for the College Board tests (the one that aren’t actual) or buy Princeton reviews. They’re very convenient since I have done so many of them.

Use google to download FREE actual SAT tests and try them.
Practice as much as you can.
After you get 700+, use Barrons.

Definitely normal! I’m having the same issue with the blue book and barron’s, since I keep scoring 100+ higher on the blue book. Which section are you noticing the biggest difference in score?

Lol a difference of 250 is actually surprisingly still normal :P

When I did Barron’s I scored ~2200 (~750CR, ~650W, ~800M) but when I switched to the Blue Book, my score jumped to ~2325 (~800CR, ~725W, ~800M). So for me, the biggest jump was in writing.

Princeton Review is actually REALLY accurate and they really focus on the tests
