He never told me to post anything about him.

i think people post about him because his critique is actually GREAT compare to some of the other CCers who give garbage critiques.

Oh my gosh, so much anger.

For what it’s worth, I really don’t care how attention hungry (or not) anyone is, as long as they’re a good essay reader.

So much anger indeed, especially considering that I edit essays for FREE and do this as a service. The idea that I’m doing this for “my own purposes” or some shady ulterior reason is just asinine. I don’t do this as a job and honestly I can’t always get to everybody, but I like editing, and there needs to be open, public, and honest feedback for editors so that students know what they’re dealing with. It’s as simple as that, and if for some reason you feel insecure or angry that I’ve built a reputation for myself, keep it to yourself. I think my lady doth protest too much.

Nice wording too - you are aware that by modifying fraudulent with artificially, you negate your insult. I hope for everyone’s sake you’re not an editor…

In any event, if I’m in violation of CC rules, I’m happy to yield, but it would seem that this thread would be the most logical place to post feedback.

I honestly don’t care if they’re “attention hungry” as long as they’re willing to put in the time to edit essays. I mean, seriously, be appreciative.

I’m willing to edit essays! I’m a 2010-er, already admitted to one of College Confidential’s “top universities” ED, and I’ve edited over 50 essays. Send me an email: missmibster@yahoo.com

I can’t edit old posts, and I’m still receiving messages. I just want to let any else in need of a critique know I no longer have the time to go over them. Thanks.

i need readers for my penn supplement essay/commonapp essay

this is coming down to the wire

HERE IS THE LIST OF LEGITIMATE READERS ON THIS THREAD. COMPILED BECAUSE CHRISTMAS BREAK BORES THE HEEEECK OUTTA ME. THESE PEOPLE ALL HAVE A LOT OF POSTS AND GOT POSITIVE FEEDBACK!

And well, I think we know who gets the most testimonials. Thats why people are ****ed off in the first place LOL!

**By the way, I just wanna say something about the accusations on wayward. Hes basically hawked over this thread since he started posting on it LOL!!! iono if thats supposed to mean if hes an essay thief or not, but at the very least hes paranoid about CC fame! Oh, and the excessive testimonials thing is weird too.

PLEAAASE bump this post because I searched through allllllllll the pages to do this!**

Essay thief? I’m a senior at Penn, thanks very much. And since we’re on the subject of positive feedback, I think mine speaks for itself.

I am absolutely mystified at how people posting feedback about me could possibly be objectionable considering they CHOOSE to do so and are often very grateful for my help. Contact them and investigate if you’re suspicious.

I don’t mean to degenerate into flaming, but do you and my other detractors have some kind of learning disability or are you just threatened by new editors? I’m not getting paid for this, and the idea that anyone would care about “CC fame” is beyond ridiculous. What is your real issue?

wayword essay don’t worry about it

no need to defend yourself, your actions speak louder than your words

i’m still anxious for my critique though lol

I agree with tomjones. It’s pretty fishy how the last five or so pages have been mysteriously filled up with pure praise for waywardtrojan, and I’m sorry if I’m being quite blunt here, but it does not take a perfect SAT score to realize that there’s something suspicious going on here. I had my essays critiqued by radronOmega last year, and he did an amazing job (though his critiques were a little violent). He never asked me to post praise about him on any thread, but was just satisfied being friends, heh. He made me a better persuasive writer, and isn’t that the purpose of this thread? Well, I don’t know if waywardtrojan actually helps his peers or not, but I believe that this burst of praise should be in another, non-stickied thread. This thread’s been a complete joke the past few months, might as well re-name it Wayward’s Assistance if the mods really are on his side lol. Okay, we get it, wayward has fans. Whether it’s legitimate or not, it’s almost as if people clicking this thread HAVE to ask him for help, because I’m scrolling back pages just to find other legitimate readers. Heck, radronOmega’s all the way back on page 4.

Again, you have yet to explain logically what is even remotely suspicious or mysterious about my good feedback or, for that matter, asking for feedback in the first place. The whole reason I asked for feedback was so that people could see publicly that I was a legit, helpful editor. (Not unlike the eBay feedback system.) I’ve posted my Penn SAS webmail address and am a senior, so I’m clearly not in the market to steal undergrad essays. If you think something’s amiss, PM the posters and ask them about me specifically and the quality of my work; it’s as simple as that.

I’ve been on CC for over two years and it’s pretty obvious that my intentions are sincere, but as I said before, there is NO pressure for anyone to send their essays to me or anyone else: When in doubt, don’t send anything at all and just deal with people face to face. As for me, I have nothing whatsoever to hide. Check my postings or just ask people who’ve worked with me one-on-one.

I really don’t understand this hostility. My credentials add up and I’ve been more than generous with my time here; if this is a protocol issue and you don’t want feedback posted here specifically, I suggest the moderators sticky a new thread where feedback/comments about editors can be posted.

I’d just like to say that this thread is to find readers. If yall wouldn’t mind, could we focus on listing reliable readers (thanks, uggsatDartmouth) instead of trying to defend ourselves/others.

uggsatDartmouth (et al) baselessly attacked my credibility, so you can’t really expect me not to defend myself.

But yes, this thread shouldn’t devolve into an argument. This should end now - if someone has any unresolved personal issue with me, take it up with the moderators or stow it.

^ I haven’t read all 19 pages of this thread, but after seeing uggsatDartmouth’s post at the top of this page, I have to agree with wayward_trojan here. mlwgs2010, what you said doesn’t make much sense. How can you list reliable people without coming to a consensus on who you’re going to consider reliable? That would involve at least giving people a chance to speak/post.

/ (end of involvement in this whole discussion)

I need someone to critique my rough draft for the Princeton supplement. If you are experienced at critiquing and are not a current applicant, please let me know. It’s down to the wire. Thanks!

Wayward has reviewed one of my essays in the past. He did a good job, responded promptly to me, and never asked me for feedback here on CC. It really isnt fair to attack someone who has invested so much of their time in helping others on this site. However, I agree with previous posters in that this argument (started by tomjones I believe) is completely contrary to the purpose of this thread. I suggest we all just calm down and end all the accusations.

Wayward just reviewed an essay for me recently and also did not ask for feedback. It really seemed like he took his time, and he was very helpful.

lolz at everyone attacking wayward. seriously guys, he’s probably one of the most helpful people on CC (at least in the transfer threads, where i’m usually lurking, and on here on the essay thread). if you don’t want him to edit your essays, don’t send them to him. the end. you don’t need to be angry for no reason. he has nothing to gain and he’s just trying to help.

anyway, i’ll be back at home on jan 4 and can start looking at more then, so send them along if you want: ironicallyunsure@gmail.com
