<p>Hi, I’m new to the entire website etc. and would love for someone to edit my common app. supplement essay for Colby… I am in no way IV league potential and I don’t think my essay is super great, but I sure could use some editing help ;)</p>

<p>the only problem with the “good” editors is that so many people send them essays and they take forever to get back at you. </p>
<p>At this point, you should just use them to help you find the grammers and phrasing mistakes. So you might as well use your parents.</p>

<p>Hey. I’m a college freshman and I’ve been on CC for about five years now (Ignore the low post count. I had two previous accounts). I only do editing on CC in the summer (June-July) (have been for the past 2 years) through PM’s. I work with essays in the developmental phase, and not with polished essays.
Now, I don’t give thorough critiques on spelling and grammar and phrasing (this is because I expect people applying to the top schools to have strong mastery in grammar, and because that’s your English teacher’s job). I do, however, give general critiques about what I think works in your essay and what needs to improve, and how you can improve it. Specifically, I look at organization, style (aka “voice”), content, and topic selection. I will be honest, but will give praise where praise is due. Sign me up.</p>

<p>limabeans is really a great help, especially when it comes to grammatical mistakes. I am an international student and while i believe i have good content, the whole essay would be screwed without a grammatical check by a person with English as the first language. I sent my essay to limabeans and limabeans replied to me with corrections in grammar and stuff. thank you to you! ;)</p>
