I have two semesters of college level English under my belt and have gone through this process once already, so please feel free to pm your essay. <p>I can’t believe hs kids will rely on other hs kids to review their essays. Hey, your reviewer hasn’t even completed an app yet. And, there are good reviewers among college kids- but not all. Most have never reviewed an app or been part of that process.</p>
<p>So, my advice: only aim for people who have actually worked with U admissions, see the variety of essays submitted and been responsible for judging.</p>

<p>I believe I posted in this thread before, a long time ago. But figured I might as well post again, or for the first time if I didn’t. Some things about me:</p>
<ul>
<li>I’m an alum of NYU Stern, and currently work in the financial industry.</li>
<li>About half of my job is writing/reading if not more, and I would rate myself very strongly on word choice, grammar, and succinctness.</li>
<li>I’m relatively harsh and exacting, so expect a lot of markings. If you want someone to tell you how great your essay is, pick someone else.</li>
<li>Don’t send me something that’s obviously never been proofread, I’ll simply send the same version back to you.</li>
</ul>
<p>My turnaround is usually no more than a day, and I’m freely available on gchat or AIM if you want to talk through your essay instead of or on top of editing it.</p>
