Tied with Wheaton (MA) this year.

what the ****! UC Davis was nearing the top 40 and is now beaten by Washington, SB and Irvine putting it down all the way at 48. WHAT IS GOING ON?!?!

barrons, 2 for me? Scripps and Hanover?

I like Davis better than Irvine.

barrons, where is UWashington in undergrad business? kinda curious as their MBA jumped to 18 this year.

yeah dstark, it seemed that davis was mostly preferenced over Irvine this year... How did this happen and is this real for sure? I mean davis has always consistently whipped washington, irvine and SB. Not only that but the amount of things recently added to the campus and the overall quality is so undeniably high.

ichiboy, I agree. Don't take the rankings too seriously.

And one more for me, Barrons (by the way thanks so much for posting all this)... what about Fordham? Where do they rank this year? Thanks ;)

jesseo, my son was interested in Fordham,(although not so much the rating) but I looked it up anyway. It's 68 up from 70.

I bet nearly half of those denouncing these rankings would renounce their judgment if their university were placed in the top 10.

i'm a rising senior and i can't understand why Penn is placed so high. It is higher than stanford, MIT, CIT which i believe should have higher rankings.

Here's the mid-tier UCs throughout history. They always seem to have odd fluctuations, so I wouldn't worry about Davis (Irvine went from 36 to 49 in one year). Davis' drop was weird, considering it's never been below 44 in the last 10 years.

Any updates on the top 20 engineering schools whose highest degree is a doctorate?

I'm going Penn and I personally think it should be 6th or so, tied with Duke and maybe Stanford but behind MIT and Cal Tech. Just my 2 cents, and I think rankings should always be taken with a grain of salt. In the end they really aren't that important.

Barrons, Where did you get these rankings?

I want Yale to be tied for #1 :(.

Barrons, Where did you get these rankings?

He found a print copy being sold early.

Yale is still a prestigious school.

Indiana might go up a few spots, at least IMO.

I also got a copy of the magazine early so if you have any specific questions PM me and I will be more than happy to answer them for you.
