Consortium GPA question

If I am a Penn student, and I take a course at (Haverford, Bryn Mawr, Swarthmore):

Do I merely get the credit for that course on my Penn transcript? Or is the grade for that course recorded on my Penn transcript and figured into the Penn GPA reported by the Penn registrar on my Penn transcript?

I had credit transferred from a college back home and only the credit transferred in, no change to the GPA.

GPA is not affected.

"I had credit transferred from a college back home and only the credit transferred in, no change to the GPA. "

Yes that is generally the case for unaffiliated colleges.

However for members of consortia this is not always the case.
For example, it is not the case for memebers of the five-college consortium in Massachusetts, or the Claremont college consortium in California.

Penn is a member of “the Quaker consortium”, with Bryn Mawr, Haverford and Swarthmore. I was trying to determine how grades were handled for courses taken at the different Quaker consortium schools. Not at an unaffiliated college.

“GPA is not affected”
Even for a course taken pursuant to The Quaker Consortium agreement at one of the other member colleges ?

Ahh, my apologies for not paying closer attention to the question.

“The four schools comprise the Quaker Consortium and have a reciprocal agreement for tuition and the granting of grades and credits for work completed at any one of the participating institutions.”

I am assuming that means grades do transfer. None of the stupid Penn websites are working for me right now, but I’ll try and find out when they do start working.

Sorry again for the poor answer.

All of Penn’s websites are down for scheduled maintenance from 12AM - 12 PM today.

Which I just realized has past…everything is working again.

“The grades will be included in the Penn g.p.a.”
