Congratz to all of you who got a likely to Wellesley.

I got a possible.

I wonder if it's possible to contact Wellesley to ask why I got a possible letter.

thanks!

Probably wouldn’t hurt to reaffirm your interest in Wellesley, but I think the probability they would tell you why you got a possible are just about zero. They’re dealing with a lot of applications. You’re obviously still in the running.

I agree with notakid. Your best bet at this point is probably to reaffirm your interest in the school and send them an e-mail if you win any awards, do something notable, etc. between now and April 1st.

And most importantly, remember: A “possible” isn’t a “no”. Good luck! :)

I believe the greatest proportion of ee applicants got a “possible”. It is unlikely that they will be able (or willing) to tell you why they didn’t consider you a “likely” (they will most probably tell you competition is high). However, keep in mind that 20% of those who got “possible” do eventually get accepted. Good luck!
